Your Subscription, Renewals & Proration
This article explains how Kind Kiosk billing is structured so you know what to expect at purchase, when adding devices, and at renewal. For exact pricing on your plan, check your billing area in the Dashboard or contact our team.
Hardware vs. subscription
Pricing is split into a one-time hardware cost for your devices and an annual subscription for the platform. Separating the two keeps the ongoing subscription lower than when everything was bundled together.
Adding devices
Additional devices are billed as a per-device add-on rather than a full separate subscription, so adding a second or third device costs less than your first. Plans include a device limit, though we can often make exceptions — especially for handhelds. New devices automatically connect to your existing account and Stripe connection. Just let us know what you need.
Renewals
Your subscription renews annually. Renewal and additional-device pricing are typically lower than the initial subscription. We’re happy to send a renewal summary so you can see exactly what’s included.
Understanding proration
When you change plans or add a device mid-cycle, your invoice is prorated. This can look confusing because it usually shows two lines: a credit for unused time on your current plan, and a charge for the remaining time on the new plan. The net is what you actually pay for the rest of the billing period. If a prorated invoice ever looks unclear, ask us for a draft invoice and we’ll walk through it with you.
Payment methods
You can pay by credit card or ACH bank transfer, and we cover the processing cost on your subscription payment — there’s no surcharge for paying by card. Wire transfer is also available.
