What platform do you use for payment processing and what are the rates?

We use Stripe because it’s secure, widely trusted, and works seamlessly with our platform to instantly direct funds directly to your organization.

Stripe has two different rates set for nonprofits:

• "Card present" transactions (using a physical card or tap at terminal) have a rate of 2.7% + 5 cents per transaction.
• "Card not present" transactions (like our QR Code donation flow) have a rate of 2.2% + 30 cents per transaction.

In addition to Stripe's fee, Kind Kiosk has a 3% platform fee on transactions. When donors cover the fees, it covers both our platform fee and Stripe's processing fee. Most donors cover the fees - as high as 90% for many of our customers!

At this time, we do not support other payment gateways.
